School bells are ringing!

School is now officially in full swing! I've been attending JCCC since graduating from Shawnee Mission North High School in 2000. Between having kids, working full time and everything else, I am almost to my goal of completing my Associates Degree. Sure all that is good, but this year is different, because this is the first year I'm sharing school business with my daughter, Delaney. She just turned four and is in her second week of Pre-School. She is loving it! She has jumped right in head first! She has friends: Reed, Brenna, Cole, Jake, Addie, Maddie, Allie, Brendon and more I'm sure. Each night I ask her if she's made new friends and what they are like, she tells me funny things they said or songs they sung. She really seems to be happy. That makes my role as parent that much easier. Because I have to admit the first day of Pre-School was an emotional roller coaster for me, Jason (hubby) and Delaney. Garrett, he didn't really care much. I think he was excited at the fact that he wouldn't be sharing the spotlight at day-care with big sister Delaney anymore! :) She was so excited to get started, then when the day finally arrived she was apprehensive, and shy. But obviously we got through that! Now the kid doesn't want us to pick her up at the end of the day! As for my school, I was the opposite, I was really nervous for it to start, but now that we are in full swing, I'm excited and I feel I can tackle the role! This semester I am taking 9 credit hours, I work 40 hours per week, sometimes more, raising the two little ones, and trying to be a good wife and keep my house clean! We'll see....I've decided I'm going to get a sign that says...."My house was clean yesterday....Sorry you missed it" That way I'm covering my tracks....cause some thing's going to have to give! Wish me luck and I'll keep you updated on progress from College life and Pre-School world! Bless you all!

Wow - I'm tired just reading this! :-) I know your family is very supportive of your busy schedule - I'm sure the kids are making their beds, getting dressed and getting their own breakfast, etc. Not like the good mother I was today who sent Princess daughter downstairs to get her breakfast while I got ready and halfway up the hill to school, she said "I forgot to eat breakfast!" It will be a long morning, I thought. She survived. :-)
