~~~One Year Old~~~

Where has the past year gone? I cannot believe that one year ago I was lying in a hospital bed (leaking water EVERYWHERE) waiting to meet you! We didn't know if you were going to be Bentley or Lucy, but we did know that we already loved you! We were so anxious and excited to finally greet you. You were born at 1:17pm on 3-10-10! I was overjoyed to hear daddy say "it's a GIRL!" I could not stop crying I was so happy to be adding a daughter to our family.

You have been so much fun the past 365 days! You have made our days longer and our nights shorter. But you have made our family of 4 the perfect family of 5!








You are now 2 feet 4 inches tall! Almost as tall as Garrett who's 4 years older than you! (He needs to eat more meat and potatoes!)





You wear a size 5 or 6 shoe, depends on the style.
You wear a size 18-24 in clothes!




You are 100% off of the baby bottle and you only take your binki at naps and bedtime. No more binki in the car or at restaurants or at play time!





You now have 6 teeth, 4 across the front on the top and three along the bottom front!





You LOVE your big sister Delaney and your big brother Garrett! They spoil you rotten and you know it!




Your smile warms my heart and can make my bad day good! Your laugh is just as contagious as Delaney's and I hope you never lose that!



You've just started walking this past week, but it's like once you went a good solid 5-6 steps you had it figured out, so now you can go about 25 steps at a time! Such a big girl!




You sleep through the night which helps remind us that you are no longer a baby, as much as I love sleeping all night, I miss you needing some lovings in the middle of the night!



You eat table food 90% of the time, every now and then we'll give you some kind of baby food, you still love baby cereal for breakfast along with some fruit loops!





I can't believe you're so big now, and becoming more and more independent every day! I know it wont be long and you'll be in preschool like Garrett or first grade like Delaney.





Daddy and I still randomly talk about having just one more...maybe try for one more boy so Garrett isn't girl trapped! But I can honestly say that if you are my last baby, you have been a dream! You were such a good infant and you are such a sweet little girl. I couldn't have asked for a better ending to my story of babies.

I love you Lucy LaRue! I hope that you can grow up to be just like the lady you were named after...Your Great Great Grandma Lucy! She was an amazing person that always put everyone before her. She was generous, loving, and true. So far you are just like her and I love that!
