Here it is Monday, August 15 and Delaney is officially a 2nd grader at Mize Elementary! She has the BEST teacher 2nd grade has to offer and we couldn't be happier! She was excited this morning to get back to school, to her friends, her specials and her new locker! She was up and ready to go (literally back pack on and all) by 7:15. Her bus doesn't even come until 8:19!! So she waited and waited and waited.
She did not want us to meet her at the school, she knew were she was going thanks to Back to School night last Thursday. Part of me is thrilled that she doesn't want us to tag along, but part of me is sad that she doesn't need the help anymore. I swear she was just Lucy's age and learning so much, and now it seems she thinks she knows in all! LOL
I have thought about her a lot today and wondered how she was doing and what she was learning on her first day back! I am excited for a fun year with my two kids in the same school!!!
PS Garrett starts back Wednesday...I'm fearful his post about Kindergarten will be much different. =( I don't know who's going to have a harder time...him or ME!?!?
