Jam PACKED weekend!

Wow what a Labor Day weekend we had this past weekend!

Thursday night:
Jason and I took the 3 kids to De Soto Days to ride rides, listen to live music and enjoy dinner in the park! It was a little hot out but the rides had almost no lines! Even if there was a line the kids still got on the next time the ride ran. Garrett loved riding the "scrambled eggs" or the Scrambler. Just watching them ride it made me nausious. Garrett rode the big super slide 28 times in a row. That slide has 44 steps to get to the top! (That's 1232 steps!) He's a machine. Delaney rode the Ring of Fire, Hang Glider, Ali Baba and the slide as well! We had a great night with just our klan!

Friday night:
Jason & I took the kids to Texas Roadhouse for dinner with Suzy and David. It was our first outing with them as a married couple. We had a great dinner. Lucy is at the age where she wants to be on the move non stop, so dinner was a bit rough for her. We all stuffed ourselves full and headed back to our place. We loaded up all of the wedding gifts from our garage into David's car and went inside to watch Big Brother! After the show David and Suzy left and we all went to sleep!

Saturday:
Jason and I took the kids to meet Mom, Dad, Kimberly, Corey, Wyatt, Gage, Aric & Heather at the Boilermaker Union picnic at Benjamin Ranch. It was so much fun for everyone! The Boilermaker's know how to throw a party and include everyone! When you walked in the barn everyone got a raffle ticket for free. You put the ticket in the bucket that matched your category...Lucy 0-6 girls, Garrett 0-6 boys, Delaney 6-12 Girls and Jason and I both Adults. They had a kids hot dog buffet. Train rides, face painting, pony rides, live animals, a bounce house, wachers, bean bag toss, and a water balloon fight. They had BBQ buffet for the adults, free beer, pop, lemonade, tea and water. At 1:45 they started the raffle...a raffle that lasted until 4pm! Holy crap! Garrett won a $50 Toys R Us gift card, Delaney, Wyatt and Gage won $15 Toys R Us gift cards, Kimberly won Royal's tickets, Corey won $25 cash, Dad won $25 cash, Aric won $20 cash. They gave away I pod Nanos, shuffles and bikes it was AMAZING! Anyone who didn't win after all of the prizes were handed out got Boilermaker T shirts! So everyone won in the end. =)
After the picnic we went home so Jason could work on a car and we could all nap! It was a great day!
Sunday:
Jason sold his sound system out of his Road King to Cracker. Cracker came over in the morning to make the swap from one Harley to the next. They worked on this until it was time to go to Rodney's house for a birthday BBQ for Jessica (18) and Bruce. There were tons of people there and even more food! The kids all played well together as the adults all visited! We stayed there for about 4 hours then we went down to Greaserama at the Boulevard Drive Inn to walk around. We got there as most of the show was wrapping up. So we got in for free, we got free hot dogs, and water and I bought a super cute pillow case dress for Lucy for half price! The big kids played on the play ground as Jason, Lucy and I walked around and looked at all of the cool cars, trucks and motorcycles. We only stayed for about an hour then we headed home for the night!
Monday:
Jason had another car to work on (dollar signs are flashing in my head...two cars a sound system...LOL) so he knocked that out first thing in the morning then we packed up and headed to Santa-Cali-Gon Days to walk the craft tents. We were not riding any rides this time, just walking the tents and shopping. The kids each got a spider puppet and we had lunch in the square. We walked and shopped for about 2 1/2 hours then headed back towards home. I ran to the grocery store while the kids napped and Jason worked on the wagon! We had dinner and gave everyone baths and it was time for bed!

We were all in bed by 9 for the night! The weekend was so packed full of fun that it wore us all out!

Now we're gearing up for the Circus tonight and the Lake of the Ozarks this weekend for Cyndi's 60th birthday party! Sunday we come home to put my Harley in the Shawnee Car and Bike show! So another busy weekend is approaching, and it's already Wednesday!
