So I haven't used my flexible spending much this year...that was true until Sunday night.
Delaney had been feeling under the weather all weekend, but she played hard and was fine during the day, then at night she'd feel worse. Well come Sunday evening she hat hit her breaking point. It was while we were at the Dickerson's waiting for the fireworks display to start. She was not talking, not playing with the 12 other kids there and wouldn't really leave my side. I offered to take her home, but she insisted on staying for the show. Well right after the show we headed for home. But she was in a lot of pain so I decided to take her to Urgent Care. She was diagnosed with Strep!!!
It was $150 copay for urgent care, $20 for antibiotics
Then come Tuesday I had to take Lucy to the dr. for an ear infection. That was $25 copay and $20 antibiotic.
So in just a few days I spent $215...Thankfully I have flexible spending through work, where the money comes directly out of my paycheck every two weeks and is just there when I need it. THANK goodness!!!
On a brighter side, Lucy is feeling better.
Delaney is still sick going on day 4 here, but I'm hopeful! She is supposed to have her first sleep over Friday night with friends, and her first basketball game Saturday...I just hope she feels better for those events!
