Christmas 2011-Krueger Style

Christmas was nice this year. We all got to have Monday following Christmas off, so it was nice to have three whole days together!

The festivities started Saturday morning. We had Cyndi, Larry, Kristen, Nick and Cosmo(their dog) over for Christmas brunch. I made a french toast casserole and sliced bagels with cream cheese, Cyndi and Larry brought two Monkey Breads, Kristen brought fruit and dip...needless to say we had more food than people! It was all yummy. We started with food and conversation and caught up with every one's busy schedules. After we cleaned up the mess we started with the gift opening. Everyone brought gifts for our kiddos, they are super lucky!

Delaney got a K-state hoodie and a K-state Kustoms hot rod shirt from Kristen and Nick as well as two necklaces and two charms. One charm says D with a lady bug on it and one says PEACE LOVE BASKETBALL. Grandma and Grandpa got her a States game (SUPER FUN for all of us) and a rubrics cube! She loves challenges!

Garrett got a KU Nike Hoodie from Kristen and Nick and a Crayola crayon station desk and Grandma and Grandpa got him a Corvette model car.

Lucy got a purple winter coat from Grandpa and Grandma and Lucy got two cute outfits from Baby Gap from Kristen and Nick!

Saturday night we went to my Grandma's house for a gift exchange! GG gets all of the kids a gift as does my Aunt Nannie, who never had children of her own, so she spoils all of the grand kids! Each parent brings one gift for each child from Santa as well. So they all got three gifts that evening as well!

Garrett got 50 cars in a tube from Nannie, a holster with guns from GG and a John Deere truck, trailer and tractor from Santa.

Delaney got a holster with guns in pink from GG, a Robo Baby from Nannie and an Orbiez lamp from Santa.

Lucy got a life like baby from Santa, a music player from Nannie and a toy from GG.

Sunday morning we woke up at 7:30am and Santa had come in FULL force! Stockings were over packed with goodies and the tree was full of presents from Santa and Jason and I for the kids!

Some of the hits were:
Wii
Crayola pen for iPad
Leap Pad
Stamping kit
KState Hat
Clothes
Race track for the wall
Twin babies with a double stroller
Camera
and so much more!!

The kids each got a book from my coworker Shannon and her husband. Garrett got Corduroy, Lucy got It's a Small World, and Delaney got Where the Sidewalk Ends.

The kids opened all of their toys, things got assembled, hooked up and loaded with batteries while I made breakfast and lunch all at the same time! I made biscuits, farm fresh eggs (from my work) and bacon. All while making Taco Soup for moms house later!

We played with toys and cleaned up from gifts and breakfast took showers and headed to my mom and dad's by noon. We did gifts first. Mom did gift cards this year. Delaney got an iTunes card for $15, Garrett got a leappad card for $20 and Lucy got a baby. All three kids got $10 to cinemark and $25 for Power Play. Then we ate the taco soup and visited. Aric and Krystle were there, as well as Kimberly, Corey and Wyatt and Gage. It was a lot of people in their little house, but I wouldn't have it any other way! It was so nice out that Corey walked all four bigger kids up to the school to play. While they were gone we took moms tree and decorations down while we were all there to help. Jason and I set up her new $1400.00 Bose Stereo system that dad bought her for Christmas! Let me just say that's a lot of sound for a little house!!! LOL

We went home for a while so Lucy could take a nap then we were at Jaime and Ryan's by 5 for Christmas dinner. So MUCH FOOD! My lanta! It was everywhere! The kids played downstairs in her huge game room while the adults split their conversations between the kitchen, living room and garage! It was a lot of fun and a lot of friends and family! No gifts thank goodness! As we are out of room! =)

My family is blessed with great family, friends and neighbors! We really couldn't ask for more!

As for Jason and I, we exchanged gifts as well.
I got him knee pads to use while working outside the house or on cars, a new Smasung Windows phone, jeans from the Buckle and an old metal Chevy sign.

He got me two new watches an orange and a pink, as well as a Maurices gift card for $50 and a gift certificate to get my fingernails Shellac polished at Zenergy salon! So excited to use that one!!!

We are officially ready for the New Year! Jason is off work starting tomorrow and doesn't go back until January 9th! So the kids will spend the rest of their break with him! I am happy for that! =)
