Okay so I have a funny story to share! Tuesday night I come home from the grocery store with Garrett, I'm completely loaded down with groceries, and a clingy 2 year old, and I'm fumbling for the door handle to get it open....When behind the door I hear an enthusiastic Delaney yelling "Mommy's Home! Mommy's Home!" I always smile when I know she's happy to see me after her own long day!
So we get in and I'm trying to make sense of the $196.43 I just spent at Price Chopper and how so much money can equal to so few bags! =) Delaney is trying to help, and as she's putting the milk in the fridge she turns as if a light bulb has just gone off in her mind, and yells, "Mom, did you know Barack Obama is gonna be our next president?" So I correct her, kind of laughing at her over enthusiasm {Not sure where she gets that} and tell her, actually he is our president already.
So later I'm cooking us all dinner and she is still there "HELPING." She virtually never leaves my hip...and she says "Mommy, what starts with "O"?" Of course the first item I think of is food related...SHOCK...so I say "Oreo," then I tie it back to what I thought was an important conversation from earlier, and I say "Obama starts with "O""
There is a moment of silence....
Then she looks at me with a face of disgust and says......
Mommy I don't have any Barack Obama toys, so how am I gonna take that for Show & Tell...And we aren't allowed to bring food!!!
Hello....She didn't ask me what toys start with "O" Wow she really needs to be more specific!
