1/2 way to a handful!~

That's right...you read it right! Garrett is officially half way to a handful. Yesterday he celebrated his half birthday with his friends at preschool. It was EXTRA special because it was also his Christmas party!

We made 48 Christmas tree sugar cookies as a team Tuesday night. I hand cut each cookie then we baked them. I was in charge of the green icing, Delaney did the red bulbs of icing, Garrett did the yellow stars and Delaney did the brown trunks! They were super cute! While making the cookies I couldn't help but sit back and think about how big these two kids are getting. It's sad to think that their baby and toddler years are long gone.

Half way to a handful means that Garrett will be starting KINDERGARTEN in August! Holy COW, that can't be possible. I am thankful for the folks at MCCC and the time they take to make him ready!

Here's what Garrett can do at 4 and a 1/2...

Cut a straight line
Write his own name on the lines
He knows all of his basic colors
He knows his ABC's
He can recognize A-M and a few others, they do one letter per week...
He can hop on one foot
He can skip
He can walk backwards
He knows lots of Spanish and sign language
He loves to sing
He holds his pencil/crayon the correct way
He knows my cell phone number
He knows parts of his address
He can do puzzles up to 100 pieces by himself...he's got a brain like his daddy!
He is a sweet big brother to Lucy
He is an ornery little brother to Delaney
He is sweet, he gives kisses and hugs at random

As proud as I am of him for all that he can do now, I'm still sad to see him grow up into a little boy! I love him to pieces!!!
