What a difference a week makes! Today was the one week anniversary of the day we heard the terrible word CANCER! The word associated to my dad's name. And today the good news came! The call came at almost the exact time that dad had called mom last Thursday to share the saddness! The nurse said dad DID NOT have lung cancer! He instead has pulmonary pneumonia, which yes is still a big deal. But with the medicine the doctor prescribed him last week he should already be on the mend. He goes back in one week for a follow up x-ray to see if the lungs look more clear. If they still show signs of the pulmonary pneumonia they will issue him another Z-Pack and he'll be even better off!
What a miracle. Thank you God. Thank you to my friends and family and co-workers who thought of dad, prayed for dad, cried for dad, cried with me. Having this week long horror story showed me just how many friends I have and how much they truely care!
I am in complete shock and still have lots of tears, but this time the tears are of JOY!!
Thank you GOD!
