What a weekend! After a stressful week of snow days (Tuesday-Thursday) and a water line breaking in the basement on Thursday. I was ready for a break!
Saturday was my 29th birthday...the beginning of my last year as a twenty something!
I started the morning with a run on the elliptical since I knew I would be going out for a delicious dinner! Then I went upstairs to have my cereal with the kids and open my cards and gift! Jason got me Super Mario Brothers for the Nintendo DS. I am ADDICTED! I'm already in world 6 of 8! I can't stop playing! LOL Maybe I should go get my own DS since I'm currently borrowing Delaney's. (She wasn't really playing it anyway LOL)
We left home around noon. We had to run to Old Navy to get a gift for Cameron Dickerson's 4th birthday party (we share the date!) Then we went to Nigro's Western Store to get me a new pair of boots! I love them as well! It was nice to visit with everyone in there, poor Lucy got passed around like a rag doll. George wanted to keep her since his mom's name was Lucy. =) After Nigro's we went by mom and dad's to feed Lucy her lunch and change her diaper, and visit with the folks. Then we went to Panera for lunch. After Panera we headed to Hobby Lobby because we still had time before the party. I got all kinds of cute black and white picture frames for the girl's room! Garrett got a model car and Delaney got a finger pointer for when she plays school!
Finally it was off to Old Shawnee Pizza to spend some time with some great friends from days gone by. Jake Smith, Jeremy, Joey, Chad, Nichole, and a few others were there! It was just like old times! We didn't eat, but the kids did have cake. I passed...again because I knew I was going to be having a delicious dinner!
We left the party after cake and presents and took the kids to Jason's mom and dad. We said our good-byes three or four times. And we were OFF!
Just the two of us. Then we met up with Candie and Kurt and had the delicious dinner at Olive Garden! It was nice to just sit and visit without all 5 kids running around or needing our attention! After dinner we headed to Jake's Place for the party. It was PACKED! Again more familiar faces from day passed!
Too many to name, but I was so surprised at how many people came out! Austin and Amanda bought me all kinds of balloons and party wear! I got lots of cards and hugs and such. It was nice. I had water to drink all night but still had more fun than I'd had in a while!
Sunday morning Jason and I slept in until about 8:30 then we went to Eggcetra for breakfast before picking up the kids!
All in all a great weekend to fix my not so normal week!
This week is gonna be just as BUSY! And they're calling for MORE snow! I am OVER the snow!!!
