Healthy Habits Tuesday!

Wow!  Today was a kick a** day!  And by kick a** I mean both a kick in the a** as well as an AWESOME day all wrapped into one!

My morning started out with the Maintain Don't Gain Holiday Challenge official weigh in at work.  It's bad enough to step on a scale and see a BIG number in the privacy of your own bathroom, but to have to do it at work and have a fellow co-worker have to write that number down....that's a whole new ball game.  It was a BIG number, a number I'm not comfortable putting on here, but a number I know will go down.  I have until January 7th to do my best, both with eating right and working out!  I don't want to just maintain I want to lose! I want to lose so much that I win!  =)

By the time lunch rolled around I decided to start my lunch with my walk and then grab some lunch, normally I eat first and then go for the remainder of my break.  I got to West Flanders park and started my laps!  Ended up doing about 8 mins/lap which equalled 16 minute miles, which is pretty good for me.  Usually mom and I would walk 3 miles an hour which was 20 minute miles.  I put in 2 miles and then ran to grab some lunch.

After lunch I finally got a hold of Jason and convinced him to take care of volleyball practice tonight so I could meet up some friends for Skyrobics round 2!  Kimberly, Suzy, Kristi, and even Bill all came out and we ROCKED it!!  It was a completely different routine than last Thursday but I liked that!  There was less rouncing up and down the court.  Rouncing-running and jumping up and down the court with different leg exercises each time. We left tired and sweaty and sore, so I would say that was a job well done!!

I am super proud of myself for doing a great job on my first week in!  Tomorrow will mark my one week status! So I'm pretty much one week ahead of the Maintain Don't Gain Holiday Challenge.  I hope to keep this momentum up!  And slowly make even better food choices!  I realize cheetos, and tater tots and the like are still not the best food I can put in my mouth, but it's better than the alternative.  I have done WW three times successfully.  But once I get tired of counting or meetings or weighing in I ALWAYS add the weight back on.  So I know I can still have whatever I want to eat, just less of it!  Portion control, portion control, portion control!!!

Nothing tastes as good as looking good feels!
